In the distant future, the world has been left in ruins after a great war. Due the resulting pollution, humanity’s lifespan has been reduce by more than half. It is during this period that a young man named Shudo, who has spent his whole life in the slums, happens to meet a mysterious runaway fugitive named Atharva. Atharva then tells Shudo about the story of a certain girl. That girl’s name is “Eve.” She carries a forbidden power and has lived together with a maintenance AI for 3000 years in an underground shelter. This shelter is called Neosphere and was built millenia ago by an ancient civilization. Shudo accompanies Atharva in trying to locate this underground shelter to meet Eve, who he believes may have the power to be able to purify the polluted atmosphere on Earth.

Immediately after the two miraculously manage to find their way into Neosphere, they are confronted by the military Faced with a massive mobile suit as their opponent, there seems to be nothing Shudo or his friends can do to protect themselves or escape. However, at that exact moment when all hope seems lost, a pure white mobile suit called Tierblade appears before them, as though responding to Eve’s cries for help. – from the Tierblade website Tierblade is one of the few mecha otome games released, making it a unique addition to Otomate’s vast library of titles. ★ ★ ★ ★ ✰ 4 out of 5 Star Difficulty for Japanese While the dialogue and narration are generally simplistic, the game amps up the difficulty in its fighting scenes and subsequent explanations of various scientific and technical mechanics. The narration in the fighting scenes will make it incredibly challenging if not impossible to most intermediate learners.
I wouldn’t recommend this game unless your Japanese is upper advanced or intermediate advanced. This would mean solid N2 level or possibly N1 level. You can definitely play it if you’re at a lower skill level, but you may find it more challenging and potentially less enjoyable. Overall thoughts below the cut. The city of Ziya owes its flourishing economy to the slave trade founded on the backs of Djinn, a species looked down upon as destructive, unhinged, and less than human.
They’re mere pets to be bartered and sold. Living amidst this inequality in a sheltered grandeur born of a privileged upbringing, the MC of the story finds herself facing an arranged marriage to the leader of said city. However she is soon to discover that her life of comfort has ill-prepared her for the disaster that is her impending marriage. He has never really known hardship outside of being rejected by his first love. This has made him a kind, caring, sensitive and very positive person. On the flipside, like any other person, he has his moments of insecurity and weakness, and he tends to be very idealistic and naive. If any route could be considered canon, this one would be it. That’s why I would recommend playing it before all of the other routes. This is the only route that simultaneously addresses Miu’s longstanding crush on Narumi, Yuki’s obsession with Narumi and inability to treat him like an adult, Yuusei’s illness, and Shinobu’s past. Although a little confused by Hotaru who declared that while he was a male courtesan there was a line he wouldn’t cross with customers, you chose to spend a night together.
As he said, Hotaru serviced you with his hands and lips but would not embrace you in the last step; however, you were healed by the innocent side that Hotaru showed occasionally, and so you went to Baroque many times. One night, when you asked with slight curiosity as to why he wouldn’t sleep with customers, Hotaru replied with puzzling words that he could only love the doll, Kosuzu. Unable to understand the true meaning behind those words, eventually Hotaru collapsed from an illness–. (And with this we conclude our Baroque adventure!! For now, maybe?

This coincidental reunion brought back to life the love you held towards him, but Mashiro refused you coldly. Several days later, unable to give up, you visited Baroque once again of your own volition. It was a rule of the male courtesans who worked at Baroque to be unable to refuse the wishes of a customer. Thus, a relationship was tied between you and Mashiro, but even though your bodies were connected your hearts were not, and the days passed repeatedly. However, on the borders of a certain night, the twisted love Mashiro held towards you awakened.
Those feelings, which were suited to be called a mad love, imprisoned you in a secret room of Baroque– (Even though Furukawa is one of my god tier seiyuu, I’m actually torn between Vol2 and Vol3 of the Baroque series as being my favorites in terms of themes and story.
